Tricky topic for me today…
I keep mulling over the fact that my London BFF is moving back to Paris in a few months. She has been my lifeline here, our children are friends and I would just like to say that the expat life sometimes SUCKS big time! There’s going to be a big DISconnect in my life in a few months.

As a third culture kid, it’s been the story of my life, but the older I get, the harder it gets to make new friends. And the old ones know me best. I’m going to focus on the fact that she’s here for another 4 months!

Sorry your BFF will be moving away. Even though I haven’t gotten to see her much in the last year, one of my good friends on the Coast is looking to move – far, far away. She doesn’t have a time-table yet but is thinking by the end of the summer. You are too right about it getting more and more difficult to make friends, the older I get. Moving around and spending so much time work makes it difficult to truly connect.

Thank heavens for blogs, Skype, FaceTime & WhatsApp 🙂 We’re just trying to enjoy the time we have left. Paris is only 2.5 hours away from London so it’s not the end of the world, but still!
