Refresh Revive Renovate

One year and one day on, I’m toying around with changing the look of Petal & Mortar.

What do you think?

I feel like I can’t see the wood for the trees, so suggestions and ideas are very, very welcome!

Or do I have a good thing going and should I just leave well enough alone? Husband thinks so. DD thinks so.

But Mama wants new (metaphorical) shoes!!! Sigh.

Colour me conflicted.

As someone who regularly tries on new themes (and also did tonight), I vote try something else. I like what you’ve got, but it can be so fun playing around with other themes, and if it doesn’t sit right, you can always change things back.

Nope. With just updating the theme, you should be fine. The only issue I’ve ever had with trying new themes was sometimes the widgets would reset and I would have to add those back. Also, sometimes the standard menu comes up with a new theme, but you only have to go under Menus and select your primary menu to fix that.

I’m always messing with my theme. Every Thursday I stalk the WP blog, waiting to see if there’s a new, free, theme I like…and it never is quite right. :/

That said, I like color and change so go for it!

I did some extreme renovating on my website too 🙂 Also after a year (and a few months).

I think you did a good job. The colours are nice, and the mobile version is very straightforward. Clean and clear 🙂

    Keep up the good work!

    Kind regards,

This is interesting. I was JUST talking about my theme. It’s bland and boring but I love it. To me, it’s clean and neat and crisp. ❤️ To others, it’s blah… You should have a theme that you love. (I like yours… Just saying.)
